The trough in this painting is still in the farmyard at Newbridge House and Farm in Donabate, Fingal, County Dublin, one of Dublin’s most treasured heritage attractions. I’ve included a current photo of it, and the photo I worked from when I was doing this painting, which was in 2017. (I started the painting plein air in the farmyard - that was interesting!.) This print is designed to bring connection to Dublin and to Ireland, and maybe to bring back some childhood memories.
