This painting is full of drama. The colours bounce off each other, and the heavy texture goes right across the centre, adding another layer of drama. I enjoy the painting purely on the level of the visual impact, but the name ‘Between Earth and Sky’, introduces some other ideas…maybe all the madness that happens on the surface of the planet that interrupts the peace of the earth and sky.
